San Francisco Police shoot & kill 19 yr old
Warning: the video is graphic.
Yesterday, at 4:45 p.m., SFPD shot a teenager who fled during a fair inspection on a Muni light rail car. The cops claimed that he was armed and had fired shots at them first. After the suspect was shot in the back, no gun was found. Doesn’t this sound awfully familiar?
Seriously though, you shot a 19 yr old over a $2 fair? And he later died in the hospital, all because he didn’t pay a $2 fair & you assumed he had a gun. Back up arrived before an ambulance did. No back up was needed. There were already other cops on the scene, some even carrying assault rifles. The man was on the ground fighting for his life. That moment in the video where he struggles to even attempt to get up is some of the most chilling video I’ve seen. Ever.
It’s okay though right? America will probably ignore this & move on to some more mindless crap, as is usually the case. I’ve seen it before with the Oscar grant case, Sean bell, James Brissette, and countless others. When will this country’s collective conscious wake up?
i’m tired of shit like this happening
smfh what the fuck ever happened to shoot to injure not shoot to kill !
I’m so sickened by this. We’re losing our black man for what? For the color of their skin? Such bullshit. And he was only fucking 19 and had his whole life ahead of him. I hope you rest in peace dearThis makes me so mad and WHY DOESNT THIS HAVE MILLIONS OF NOTES. this is more then just what we see on the news it’s reality for the black community.
this shit is exhausting smh.
what the fuck is wrong with white people?!
Its not white people, its ignorance period. God bless his family and may he rest in peace 😔
NO. Its WHITE. PEOPLE. Now shut the fuck up.
No its not White people. Its corrupt police officers. Shut the fuck up
I remember you. You’re a racist white dumbass i already dealt with. You should quit while you’re behind.
Ferguson Police have dogs and shotguns. The unarmed crowd is raising their hands.
For anyone not following the Mike Brown story on Twitter: a 17 year old black boy named Mike Brown, who was supposed to start college tomorrow, was shot to death in Ferguson, Missouri by police while jaywalking. He was unarmed. He was shot 9 times.
Initial media reports claimed that an 18 year old black man had been shot and killed while fleeing police after shoplifting.
People in the neighborhood, including members of Mike Brown’s family, came out of their homes and began to protest, shouting “no justice, no peace,” and keeping their hands in the air.
Media reports claimed that a violent mob quickly formed around the shooting location shouting “kill the police.”
Spread this. Tell the truth about what happened to this boy. Tell the truth about what is happening NOW. The police and the mainstream media is painting him as a criminal, and his community as a violent mob.
SPREAD THIS. Don’t let them lie.
When these documents were first considered for release in 1978, a State Department official warned the Foreign Office that the documents contained “very embarrassing things about the British.” London and Washington have colluded ever since to keep these documents under lock and key.
A decade ago, when the Clinton administration was pursuing détente with Iran’s reformist president, Mohammad Khatami, it seemed that the United States might finally come to terms with its troubled history in Iran. In March 2000, Secretary of State Madeleine Albright became the first senior American official to acknowledge the American role in the 1953 coup. A month later, one of the C.I.A.’s internal histories of its role in the coup was mysteriously leaked to this newspaper. But the full disclosure that many historians hoped for has never come. More worrying, hawks in the Washington foreign policy establishment who oppose President Obama’s outreach to Iran are once again denying any American role in the 1953 coup.
THE BROTHERS AT NAGASAKI
Probably one of the most intense picture I have ever posted. Extremely depressing content.
The photograph above was taken by US Marines photographer Joe O’Donnell shortly after the bombing of Nagasaki. He saw things beyond imagining, and the experience left him with depression in his later years. Yet according to O’Donnell’s son, the image above affected him more than any other.
The younger child in the picture is dead. The older boy is his brother, and he’d carried his sibling on his back to a crematory. The older boy stayed and watched his brother burn yet refused to cry. He bit his lip so hard it bled.
The boy had just lost everything to the most destructive force known to mankind. Yet, barefoot, he’d carried his sibling’s body to ensure he was honored properly. It’s a story of the extremes of sadness and bravery—and the photograph captures both.
fuck this and the people that came up with this idea
This is how you solve the homeless problem? Shameful.
